Official support has now ended for Microsoft’s popular operating Windows 7 meaning if you have not already done so it is time to move on.

What does this mean?

This means Microsoft will no longer update or support Windows 7 as of the 14th January 2020. Essentially any bugs or vulnerabilities that are found after this date will no longer be fixed by Microsoft which has the potential to leave your computers and overall network vulnerable to attack.

What are the risks?

With Windows 7 at the end of its official operational lifespan, the lack of security updates will soon start to damage its suitability as a secure business operating system.

In addition, compatibility is already a significant issue. Many new hardware devices and software were designed to work with Windows 10 with lack of support for older operating system versions. Consequently, there’s very rarely any guarantee that an older version will be suitable for a business task.

Make the change to Microsoft’s latest operating system Windows 10 to benefit from a newer design, ongoing updates and numerous other security advantages.
